“Condensation” 2016. HD video, (colour, no sound) 4m:34s.

The title of this work derives from the blurred images of plants (due to condensation) in a green house, and the text appearing in the inter titles, which comes from Freuds’s “Interpretation of Dreams”, found in chapter VI “The Dream-Work”/ A. Condensation/ II “A Beautiful Dream”.
It is interesting to note, that this passage does not appear in the original version of Freud’s “ Interpretation of Dreams “ ( Freud gives an alltoguether different story ).
The passage is an addition made by Abraham A Brill, the first translator of Freud’s work into English, and as such it is accompanied by a translator’s note, as the author’s example could not be translated.
